The months are counting down until our Technical Director, Dan Eastley, takes on the biggest adventure of his life - a leg of the Clipper Round the World Race.
At the weekend we attended a Clipper Crew Briefing Day at London Boat Show, to meet other excited crew members and find out more about the plans in place for later this year.
We had an opportunity to meet Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the first person to sail solo non-stop around the world, and hear about how the race has inspired lots of people (with no previous sailing experience) to take on this challenge.
“This will be the eleventh edition of the race and I still get the same buzz watching our crew as they develop into competent and experienced sailors.” - Sir Robin Knox-Johnston
After the briefing, crew and supporters had an opportunity to meet each other, talk to experienced Clipper crew members and mingle with various partners. All supported by a tasty Stormhoek Wine reception.
The race takes place this August and there are still a few places left. To find out more about the briefing information and to apply for a place, hop over to the Clipper website.
